Short version: Garden Daily has no accounts, no ads and no analytics. Your garden records stay on your own device. If you switch the weather forecast on, a rounded location — accurate to about a kilometre — is sent to one weather service and nowhere else.
1. Who this App is for
Garden Daily is a gardening planner for adults. It is not directed to children and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. (Our separate app Garden Kids Daily is the one made for children, and it has its own privacy policy.)
2. What we do not collect
- No name, email address, phone number, birthday or postal address.
- No account or login of any kind. Nothing you enter reaches a server of ours — we do not run one.
- No photographs, camera access, microphone access or contacts.
- No advertising identifiers, and no third-party advertising or behavioural tracking.
- No analytics, crash reporting or usage statistics.
- No social features — there is no way to chat with, message or share with other users.
3. What stays on the device
Your beds, sowings, watering and feeding records, harvest weights, journal entries, chosen climate zone, language and settings are stored locally on your device, in the App’s own storage. They are never uploaded to us and we cannot see them. Deleting the App deletes all of it. The Settings screen can export everything as a file you keep.
4. Location and the weather forecast
The weather forecast is optional and off until you turn it on. If you do:
- The App asks the operating system for your approximate location. You can refuse, and everything else keeps working — the growing calendar is driven by the climate zone you pick, not by your coordinates.
- Coordinates are rounded to two decimal places — roughly a kilometre — before they are used or stored.
- Those rounded coordinates are sent to Open-Meteo, an independent weather service, to fetch a seven-day forecast. Open-Meteo states that it does not require an account and does not use the data to identify visitors. Nothing else about you is sent, and the coordinates go nowhere else.
- The rounded coordinates are also kept on your device so the App does not have to ask again. You can clear them at any time in Settings, which also switches the forecast off.
Turning the forecast off in Settings stops all network requests: the App then works entirely offline.
5. Purchases
Optional purchases and subscriptions are processed by the Apple App Store or Google Play. We use RevenueCat to check whether a purchase is active. RevenueCat receives a randomly generated, app-specific identifier and the purchase receipt from the store — not your name or email address. We never receive your payment card details. 6. Notifications
Reminders about watering, feeding and frost are scheduled and shown by your own device. They are not push notifications: no server is involved and nothing about them leaves the phone.
7. Everything else is bundled
All plant information, photographs and typefaces ship inside the App. There is no content delivery network, font service or image host to contact, so no request is made to any third party other than the weather service described above.
8. Data retention and deletion
We hold no personal data, so there is nothing for us to retain or delete. To remove everything the App has stored, delete the App from the device, or use “Clear” next to Location and the reset controls in Settings. Purchase records held by Apple, Google or RevenueCat are governed by their policies.
9. Your rights
Under the GDPR, the Turkish Personal Data Protection Law (KVKK) and similar laws you may ask what personal data we hold about you, and ask for it to be corrected or erased. Our answer will be that we hold none. If you believe personal data of yours has somehow reached us, write to us and we will delete it.
10. Changes to this policy
If this policy changes we will update the date above. If a change ever meant collecting data we do not collect today, we would say so in the App before it took effect.
