The altimeter shows dashes

Your phone has no barometric pressure sensor, or the app has not been granted motion access. Most phones from the last several years have a barometer, but not all do. The app says so on the flight screen when the sensor is missing, and falls back to GPS altitude.

The altitude is wrong by a hundred metres or more

Barometric altitude is relative to the QNH you set. Open Settings, then QNH, and enter the local sea level pressure. Easier still, use Calibrate to Known Altitude on launch: enter the elevation of the take off site and the QNH is solved for you.

There is no sound

The acoustic variometer is a Pro feature and is switched on in Settings. Check that the volume slider is not at zero, that the phone is not in silent mode with media muted, and that your climb rate has actually crossed the lift threshold.

Wind shows two dashes

Wind is solved from the shape of your turns. Fly two full three hundred and sixty degree circles and it will appear. In a straight glide the app deliberately refuses to show a number, because a circle fitted to a straight line gives a confident and completely wrong answer.

I paid and Pro is not active

Open Settings and tap Restore Purchases while online, using the same store account you bought with. If it still does not activate, email the receipt and the store account country.

Cancelling a subscription

Subscriptions are managed in your App Store or Google Play account settings. The publisher cannot cancel or refund on your behalf. The lifetime unlock is a one time purchase and has nothing to cancel.

A reminder

VarioPulse is a backup instrument for sport use. It is not certified and must never replace your primary vario, your altimeter or your own judgement.
