Screen Daily · Last updated 1 September 2026

Short version: Screen Daily has no servers. It does not collect personal information, has no accounts, no ads and no analytics. Your screen-time figures are read by your phone’s own operating system and stay on the phone — we never see them.

1. Who this App is for

Screen Daily is a digital-wellbeing tool for adults and older teenagers (13+). It is not directed to children under 13 and is not published in the Apple App Store Kids Category or Google Play’s Families programme. A parent may of course install it on a family member’s device and protect the rules with a PIN — see section 7.

2. What we do not collect

3. Screen-time data

To do its job the App needs to know how long you spend on your phone. That information is produced by your operating system, not by us:

These figures, your limits and your history are written only to the App’s own storage on your device (and, on iOS, to a private app group shared with the App’s own extensions). Nothing is uploaded, because there is nowhere to upload it to: the App has no backend server and makes no network requests with your data.

4. Permissions the App asks for

5. What stays on the device

Your limits, schedules, daily and historical usage figures, streaks, badges, promise records, chosen language and appearance are stored locally in the App’s own storage. Deleting the App deletes all of it. We cannot restore it, because we never had a copy.

6. Purchases

Screen Daily Plus is optional. Purchases and subscriptions are processed by the Apple App Store or Google Play. We use RevenueCat to check whether a purchase is active. RevenueCat receives a randomly generated, app-specific identifier and the purchase receipt from the store — not your name, email address or screen-time data. We never receive your payment card details. See RevenueCat’s privacy policy, Apple’s and Google’s.

7. Using the App on someone else’s device

The App has an optional PIN that stops the rules being changed without it, so a parent can set limits on a family member’s device. If you use the App this way, the screen-time figures of that device stay on that device exactly as described above — they are not sent to you, to us, or anywhere else. You are responsible for having the right to set rules on a device you do not own, and for telling the person using it that limits are in place.

8. Data retention and deletion

Because we hold no personal data, there is nothing for us to retain or delete. To remove everything the App has stored, delete the App from the device; on iOS you may also withdraw Screen Time permission in Settings. Purchase records held by Apple, Google or RevenueCat are governed by their policies.

9. Your rights

Under the Turkish Personal Data Protection Law (KVKK), the GDPR and similar laws you may ask what personal data we hold about you. Our answer will be: none. If you believe personal data of yours has somehow reached us, write to us and we will delete it. You may also complain to your local data protection authority.

10. Children

The App is not intended for children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone. If a parent installs the App on a child’s device, no personal information about that child is collected by us either.

11. Changes to this policy

If this policy changes we will update the date above. If a change ever meant the App started collecting personal data, we would ask for your consent before it took effect.
