These Terms govern your use of the Screen Daily mobile application (the “App”), published by Safiye Meram (“we”, “us”). By downloading or using the App you agree to them. If you do not agree, please delete the App.
1. Who may use the App
The App is intended for people aged 13 and over. If you are under the age of majority where you live, a parent or legal guardian must read and accept these Terms on your behalf and is responsible for your use of the App.
2. Licence
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use the App on devices you own or control, for personal, non-commercial purposes. You may not copy, sell, sublicense, reverse-engineer, decompile or attempt to extract the source code of the App, except where such restriction is prohibited by law.
3. What the App is and is not
Screen Daily helps you set your own limits and reminds you when you reach them. It is not a medical device, and it does not provide medical, psychological or therapeutic advice or treatment — including for any form of addiction. If screen use is affecting your health, please speak to a qualified professional.
The App’s limits and locks are applied through tools your operating system provides (Apple Screen Time on iOS, usage access and a lock screen on Android). We cannot guarantee that an app will always be blocked: the operating system, another app, a system update or your own settings may prevent it. The App is a support for your own decisions, not a technical guarantee.
The App always keeps an emergency exit that removes every lock, because a phone that cannot be opened in an emergency is dangerous. You are responsible for your own safety and for the consequences of any limit you set.
4. Purchases and subscriptions
- The core of the App is free. Screen Daily Plus is optional, sold through the Apple App Store or Google Play and billed by them, not by us. Prices are shown before purchase.
- Where a free trial is offered, it converts into a paid subscription unless you cancel before it ends. The length of the trial and the price that follows are shown on the purchase screen.
- Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You can manage or cancel them in your App Store or Google Play account settings; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period.
- If a subscription ends, limits you have already set keep working. Only the extra Plus features stop.
- Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their own policies. We cannot issue refunds directly.
5. Availability and changes
We may add, change or remove features, and may stop supporting older versions or discontinue the App. Features that depend on Apple’s or Google’s platform services may change or become unavailable when those services change.
6. Acceptable use
Do not use the App unlawfully, do not attempt to disrupt or gain unauthorised access to it, and do not use automated means to interact with it. If you set rules on a device belonging to someone else, you must have the right to do so.
7. Disclaimer and liability
The App is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind to the fullest extent permitted by law. We are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, for missed messages, calls or opportunities caused by a limit or lock you set, or for loss of data stored on your device resulting from device loss, deletion of the App, or device failure. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including your statutory consumer rights.
8. Third parties
The App uses RevenueCat to manage purchases and the Apple App Store / Google Play for billing, and relies on Apple Screen Time and Google Play Services on the respective platforms. Their terms apply to those parts of the service. Apple and Google are not parties to these Terms and have no obligation to provide support for the App.
9. Termination
You may end this agreement at any time by deleting the App. We may suspend or end your licence if you materially breach these Terms.
10. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Türkiye, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and without depriving you of the mandatory consumer protections of your country of residence.
11. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. The “last updated” date above will change, and continued use of the App after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
