SpineAlign has no server and no account. Camera frames are analysed on your device and discarded immediately; what is kept is a set of angles and times, in a file only this app can read.

Who is responsible

The camera

• While a session, a calibration or the guided exercise is running, the app opens the camera, takes one frame, and closes the stream again. In a normal session that happens once every three to five seconds.
• The camera also opens when you arrive at the posture screen, purely so that the preview can show you where to put the phone. Nothing is measured or recorded then, and it closes itself after two minutes if you do not start. Turning the preview off in Settings stops this entirely.
• Each frame is passed to a pose detection model that runs entirely on your device and returns the positions of body landmarks. The app keeps six of those coordinates and releases the frame.
• No frame is written to storage, encoded, cached, backed up or sent anywhere. No video is recorded and no photograph is taken.
• A dimmed live preview of what the lens sees can be shown behind the skeleton, so that you can tell whether your ear and shoulder are in frame. It is drawn on the screen and nowhere else: it is not recorded, not saved and not sent, and it can be switched off in Settings.
• The camera is not used at any other time, and never outside those two situations. The app declares no background modes, and sending it to the background ends the session, closes the preview and releases the camera.
• Face recognition is not used and no biometric template is created. The landmarks are ordinary coordinates and cannot identify anyone.

What is stored on your device

• For each hour: how many seconds were spent in each posture band, the sum and count of the measured angles, the lowest angle seen, the accumulated load index, and counts of nudges and exercises.
• For each finished session: when it started and ended, and the same totals.
• Your settings: interface language, sampling rate, nudge profile and timing, break reminder, and the neutral angle measured during calibration.

All of this lives in the app's own storage area. It is not readable by other apps, it is never uploaded, and it is deleted when you remove the app.

What is not collected

• No name, email address, phone number or postal address.
• No account, because there is no sign-in.
• No advertising identifier, device identifier or location.
• No contacts, photos, microphone, calendar or health records.
• No analytics, crash reporting or usage tracking of any kind.

Health data

The angles and load figures are not written to Apple Health or Google Fit, are not read from them, and are not shared with any health service. They are an ergonomic estimate rather than a medical record.

Who else receives anything

• If, and only if, you make a purchase, RevenueCat processes it on our behalf. It receives an anonymous app user identifier that it generates itself and the purchase receipt issued by the store, so that your purchase can be restored on another device. It does not receive any posture measurement.
• The store you buy from, Apple or Google, handles the payment under its own privacy policy. We never see your payment details.
• The on-device pose model is provided by Google ML Kit. It runs locally and, in the bundled configuration this app uses, sends nothing to Google.
• Nobody else. There is no other third party, no data broker, no advertising network, and no sale or sharing of personal information in the sense of any privacy law.

Legal basis

Where the GDPR or Türkiye's KVKK applies: the camera is used with your explicit consent, which you give through the system permission dialog and can withdraw at any time in your device settings. The measurements kept on your device are processed for the legitimate interest of providing the feature you asked for. Purchase processing is necessary to perform the contract.

Your rights

Because the data never leaves your device, we hold nothing about you and there is nothing for us to export or erase. You can see everything the app has stored inside the app itself, and delete all of it with Settings, Delete all data, or by uninstalling. If you have made a purchase and want the record of it removed, write to gelistirbizi@gmail.com from the address associated with it.

Retention

Measurements stay on your device until you delete them or remove the app; we set no expiry because we cannot reach them. A purchase record is kept by RevenueCat and by the store for as long as needed to honour restores and to meet their own legal obligations.

Children

SpineAlign is a tool for desk workers and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect anything from a child, and since we collect nothing from anyone, there is nothing to delete.

International transfers

Your measurements are never transferred anywhere. The purchase processing described above may involve servers outside your country, under the safeguards those providers publish.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top of the page changes with it. A change that affected what is collected would be announced in the app before it took effect.
