Privacy Policy

StickBench · Last updated 20 September 2026

StickBench has no account and no server. Your measurements stay on your phone. The one thing that leaves the device is a purchase check.

The short version

  • The app asks for no permissions at all. No Bluetooth permission, no location, no storage, no camera, no microphone.
  • Controller and mouse telemetry is processed in memory and on your device. It is never uploaded.
  • Tuning profiles and condition reports are saved in a database inside the app's own private storage.
  • There is no analytics, no advertising, no tracking and no crash reporting.
  • Deleting the app deletes everything it saved.

Why there is no Bluetooth permission

Pairing a controller happens in your phone's own settings, not in this app. StickBench never scans for devices and never opens a Bluetooth connection itself. It reads controllers that the operating system has already accepted, through the standard game controller interface, which requires no permission on either platform. An app that asked for Bluetooth access here would be asking for more than it needs.

What is stored on your device

  • Tuning profiles: the name you gave them, the game genre, and the deadzone and response curve values.
  • Condition reports: the device name and its USB vendor and product identifiers, the measured scores, and the date.
  • Settings: your language choice and the interface switches.

All of this lives in the app's private storage, which other apps cannot read. You can erase it at any time from Settings, using "Erase all data".

What leaves your device

Exactly one thing: purchase verification. When you buy Premium or restore a purchase, the app talks to RevenueCat, Inc., which verifies the receipt with Apple or Google on our behalf. What is sent:

  • A randomly generated anonymous identifier. It is not your name, your email address or your device's advertising identifier.
  • The store receipt for the purchase.
  • Your store country and the app version, which the store itself provides.

No measurement, no profile and no report is ever sent. RevenueCat acts as our data processor. Their privacy policy is at revenuecat.com/privacy.

Legal basis and retention

Where the GDPR applies, the purchase check is processed to perform the contract you entered into when you bought Premium (Article 6(1)(b)). Purchase records are kept by RevenueCat for as long as the entitlement is active and for as long afterwards as tax and accounting rules require.

Your rights

Because there is no account, the publisher holds no personal profile of you and cannot identify you from the app. For anything held against your anonymous purchase identifier you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or object to the processing. Write to gelistirbizi@gmail.com and include the store you purchased from. You also have the right to complain to your data protection authority. In Türkiye that is the KVKK; in the European Union it is your national supervisory authority.

Children

StickBench is a hardware diagnostic tool for a general audience. It is not directed at children and it collects nothing that could identify one.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top of the page changes with it.
