Activity Daily · Last updated 6 September 2026

Short version: Activity Daily does not collect personal information from children or anyone else. There are no accounts, no sign-up, no ads and no analytics services. Everything a child does stays on the device. The optional Premium purchase is handled by Apple and reaches us as nothing more than a yes or no.

1. Made for children

The App is directed to children and is built to comply with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), the Apple App Store Kids Category rules and Google Play’s Families policy. We do not knowingly collect, use or disclose personal information from children.

2. What we do not collect

3. What stays on the device

Profiles (nickname, age, avatar and chosen hobbies, including any hobby word the child added in their own words), stars, the list of activities done, the settings, and the usage measurements described in section 5 are stored locally on your device, in the App’s own storage. They are never uploaded to us and we cannot see them.

Deleting the App deletes all of it. Deleting a profile inside the App removes that child’s data after a confirmation. The parent area has a separate control that clears the usage measurements alone and keeps the profile and the stars.

4. The microphone and the voice

A hobby can be added by tapping a picture, by typing, or by saying it. The say option is the only thing that uses the microphone, and it is never required. Every screen works fully without it.

Tapping the microphone button asks the device for permission. The speech is turned into text by your device’s own speech recognition, which on some platforms sends the audio to the platform vendor (Apple or Google) to be transcribed; that is governed by their privacy policies. The App receives only the resulting words, matches them against its hobby catalogue on the device, and saves the matched hobby (or the child’s own word) into the profile on the device.

We never receive, store or send the audio or the transcription. Nothing about the microphone reaches us or any server of ours, and no recording is kept on the device.

Reading the screens aloud uses the device’s own text-to-speech voice. It runs entirely on the device; no text is sent anywhere for that.

5. Usage measurements in the parent area

So that a parent can see how the App is being used, it counts things locally: minutes spent on each screen, activities started, finished or left, hobbies added, how often the microphone or the read-aloud button was used, and similar. These counters are computed and stored on the device only, shown in the parent area, and never sent to us. There is no analytics software of any third party in the App.

6. Purchases

Activity Daily is free to use and stays useful without paying: the activity of the day, the parent area, reading aloud and the microphone are never locked. The optional Premium purchase lifts four limits (how many children, how many hobbies, how often those hobbies can be changed, and how many fresh activities a day) and is sold as a monthly subscription, a yearly subscription or a one-off lifetime purchase.

The purchase itself is processed by the Apple App Store. We use RevenueCat to check whether it is active. RevenueCat receives a randomly generated identifier created for this install and the purchase receipt from the store. It does not receive a name, an email address, the child’s nickname or age, or anything else that identifies the child, and the identifier is not tied to a profile in the App. We never receive your payment card details. See RevenueCat’s privacy policy and Apple’s.

A grown-up check stands in front of the purchase screen, so a child cannot reach it on their own.

7. Parental controls

The purchase screen is behind a grown-up check: a multiplication a young child cannot do, drawn fresh each time so it cannot be memorised. The parent area, which holds the usage measurements, the full content inventory and the control that clears the measurements, is behind a four-digit password chosen by the parent. The password is stored only on the device in hashed form; we cannot read it and cannot recover it. Deleting a profile asks for confirmation first and warns that its stars and history go with it.

8. Links out of the App

The links that leave the App are the three legal pages you are reading now, which sit inside the parent area and on the purchase screen, and a link to your own App Store subscription settings shown to someone who has subscribed. There are no links to other apps or websites, and no advertising network. Following a link passes no information about you to us.

9. Network use

The App works offline: the activities are inside it, and nothing is fetched from us. Network access is used for three things only, all of them described above: the operating system’s speech recognition (section 4), buying or restoring Premium (section 6), and opening these pages.

10. Data retention and deletion

Because we hold no personal data, there is nothing for us to retain or delete. To remove everything the App has stored, delete the App from the device. Purchase records held by Apple and RevenueCat are governed by their own policies.

11. Your rights

Parents and guardians may contact us at any time to ask what information we hold about their child. Our answer will be: none. If you believe a child’s personal information has somehow reached us, write to us and we will delete it.

12. Changes to this policy

If this policy changes we will update the date above. If a change ever affected how children’s information is handled, we would seek verifiable parental consent before it took effect.
