Data Deletion

How to delete everything OptiBlink holds, and what exists outside your phone.

App and developer

Data on your device

Your hourly totals, sessions, calibration and settings are stored only on your phone. There are two ways to remove them, and both are immediate:

  • Delete all of it: Settings, then Erase everything. This also clears the camera calibration.
  • Delete the app: uninstalling removes its storage with it.

Neither can be undone, because there is no copy anywhere else. If you want to keep your history first, export it as CSV from Settings.

There are no images to delete

OptiBlink never stores a camera frame, so there is no image, video or face template of you anywhere, on the phone or off it. Nothing needs to be deleted because nothing was written.

Data held outside your phone

If you bought OptiBlink Pro, our payment processor RevenueCat holds a purchase record: a random identifier created on your device, the store receipt, your country and the app version. It contains no name, no email address and nothing about your measurements.

To have that record deleted, write to gelistirbizi@gmail.com from any address and say you want your OptiBlink purchase record removed. We action it within 30 days. Deleting it does not refund the purchase and may mean Pro can no longer be restored on a new device.

What we cannot delete

Apple and Google keep their own records of a purchase for as long as tax and accounting law requires them to. Those are their records, not ours, and requests about them go to them.

Summary

  • Camera images: never stored, nothing to delete.
  • Measurements, sessions, calibration and settings: on your device only, deleted by you, immediately.
  • Purchase record at our processor: deleted on request, within 30 days.
  • Store purchase record at Apple or Google: kept by them for as long as the law requires.
