PetPulse · Last updated 19 September 2026

PetPulse collects nothing. Audio is analysed on your device and never uploaded, and there is no account to create.

1. The short version

There is no account, no login, no analytics, no advertising, no crash reporting and no tracking of any kind. Monitoring works with the network switched off, which is the whole point of the app.

2. What is read, and where it goes

  • Microphone audio. Read continuously while a session is running, so that loudness can be measured and, when the room gets louder than its own baseline, classified by a sound model that runs on your device. Audio that is not part of a detection is discarded immediately and never written to disk.
  • Sound clips. When a dog or cat sound is detected, about five seconds around it is saved as a file in the app's own storage on your device.
  • Session records. Times, counts, sound levels and the anxiety index, stored in a database on your device.
  • Your settings. Language, your pet's name and species, sensitivity, calming sound and screen options, stored in the app's own storage on the device.

None of this is transmitted anywhere. There is no server to transmit it to, and the camera is never switched on.

3. The one thing that does leave the device

If you buy PetPulse Pro, the purchase is processed by Apple or Google and validated through RevenueCat. RevenueCat receives a randomly generated app user identifier, the store receipt, your country and the app version. That identifier is not your name, your email or your device identifier, and it is used only to know whether your Pro unlock is valid.

This happens only when you open the purchase screen or restore a purchase. If you never buy anything, nothing ever leaves your device.

4. Other people in the room

The microphone hears whatever is nearby. The app does not transcribe speech, does not identify voices and does not keep audio unless an animal sound was detected, but the few seconds it does keep may contain human voices. Those files stay on your device and are deleted when you delete the session or the app.

5. Backups

The app asks the operating system not to include its data in cloud backups or device transfers. Sessions and clips do not follow you to a new phone, which is the trade for keeping them off a server.

6. Children

PetPulse is aimed at adult pet owners and is not directed at children. No personal data is knowingly collected from anyone, of any age.

7. Deleting your data

Delete a session from the history to remove its report and its clips permanently. Settings has options to delete every clip, or everything at once. Deleting the app removes the entire database and every setting. Because the publisher holds no copy, there is nothing further to request.

8. Your rights

Under the GDPR, the KVKK and comparable laws you have rights of access, correction, deletion and portability. Since all of your data sits on your own device and can be exported from the report screen at any time, you exercise those rights directly. If you still want to write to the publisher: gelistirbizi@gmail.com

9. Changes

If this policy changes, the new version appears on this page with a new date at the top.
