Terms & Conditions

PetPulse · Last updated 19 September 2026

PetPulse listens for your pet through your phone's microphone and writes a report. It describes sounds, not health, and it is not a veterinary diagnosis.

1. Who you are agreeing with

PetPulse is published by Safiye Meram, Esenler/Istanbul, Türkiye. You can reach the publisher at gelistirbizi@gmail.com. By installing or using the app you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, do not use the app.

2. What the app is, and what it is not

PetPulse classifies sound on your own device and reports how often and how loudly your dog or cat made noise while you were away. It is an observation tool for ordinary pet owners.

  • It is not a medical or veterinary device and makes no diagnosis.
  • It is not a security system, a baby monitor or an alarm.
  • It does not call for help, notify anyone or contact emergency services.
  • Sound classification is probabilistic. A television, a doorbell or a neighbour's dog can be misread, and a quiet whimper can be missed.

If your pet seems distressed, unwell or in pain, speak to a veterinary professional. Do not let a number in an app replace that.

3. Recording other people

The microphone hears whatever is in the room, including people. Only short clips around a detected animal sound are written to disk, and they stay on your device, but you are responsible for using the app lawfully where you live.

  • Run it in your own home, on a device you control.
  • Tell anyone who lives with you, or who is in the room, that it is running.
  • Do not use it to listen to employees, tenants, guests, carers or anyone else without their knowledge.
  • Recording laws differ by country and by state. Following them is your responsibility, not the publisher's.

4. What the app needs from your device

The app needs microphone access. That is the only sensor it uses: the camera is never switched on, and location, contacts and your photo library are never read. On Android it also runs a foreground service so that monitoring survives the screen turning off, which is why a notification appears while a session is running.

Permission can be withdrawn in system settings at any time. Without it the app cannot monitor anything, and it will say so rather than pretending to work.

5. Free and Pro

The free version is fully usable: monitoring sessions of up to three hours, the hour by hour report, the anxiety index and sound clips. PetPulse Pro adds unlimited session length, week by week trends, the automatic calming sound, clip and report export, fine sensitivity control and your full history.

Pro is sold as a monthly or yearly subscription, or as a one time lifetime unlock. Payment is charged to your store account at confirmation. A subscription renews automatically unless it is cancelled at least twenty four hours before the period ends, and it is managed and cancelled in your store account settings, not in this app.

Purchases on Apple platforms are also governed by the Apple Standard EULA. Refunds are handled by the store you bought from, not by the publisher.

6. What you may not do

  • Reverse engineer, decompile or redistribute the app, except where the law expressly allows it.
  • Present its output as a veterinary assessment or as legal evidence of a nuisance.
  • Use it to record people covertly.

7. Your recordings belong to you

Sessions, reports and clips are written to storage on your own device. The publisher has no copy and no way to obtain one. Playing, exporting and deleting them is entirely under your control.

8. Availability and changes

The app is provided as is. Features may change between versions, and support for older operating systems ends when the platform vendor ends it. Material changes to these terms will appear on this page with a new date.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye. Mandatory consumer rights in your own country of residence are not affected.
